Discontinuous Spacetime, 2013

Le Creux de l’Enfer, Thiers
The fragility of the wax evokes suspended time — a stalactite descending towards the one it will never reach. Two times stretching towards each other without meeting: a glitch in continuity, an interruption in the sequence. Space-time is not smooth — it is made of discontinuities, jumps, thresholds where matter hesitates between two states. The wire structures the space without filling it: an architecture of relationships rather than masses, the skeleton of a moment that did not take place.
