Performance Möbius Strip / Euclidean Space, 2011
Performance: geometric haircut · Hair sculpture · 13 × 8 × 5 cm
The Möbius strip — a surface with a single side, without top or bottom, without inside or outside — as a mathematical figure of entanglement and the paradoxical conditions of reality. What seems contradictory in one space necessarily exists in another dimension. Paradoxes, glitches, discontinuities are not errors — they are doors.
Braided with her own hair, the object carries the memory of the body and the perpetuation of the gesture. To include oneself in the work as material — an intuition that runs through the entire practice, from its beginnings to today’s cosmological matrices. What then seemed like a formal wink is revealed retrospectively as a fundamental question: is reality a Möbius surface — a system without hierarchy, where the observer and the observed are but one and the same face?
