Dandelion pistils · Variable dimensions

The probability π denotes the probability of an encounter between A and B. The dandelion pistils are placed on a small support — if the visitor passes quickly, they move slightly; if they stop, they remain in place. The encounter between the visitor’s body and the artwork determines the movement: the randomness of human presence activates or suspends the dispersion.

Blowing on dandelions is a universal gesture of desire — in many cultures, scattering the seeds to the wind is a way of making a wish. Each pistil is a seed, a possibility of life waiting for favorable conditions. Between probability and possibility, between the breath and the uncertain wind, the power of life and its fragility are at work simultaneously — chance as a revealer of order, encounter as a condition of existence.
