Prayer Wheel, 2019
3D printing, wooden support · Diam. 17 × 25 cm
From the graphs of an electrocardiogram — measurement of the heart’s electrical flows along different axes — the artist generates a 3D volume whose resulting shape evokes the Tibetan prayer wheel. The raw scientific data of the body becomes a ritual object through simple formal translation. Two systems of reading the world — medical and symbolic — produce the same form without consulting each other. Each rotation transmits an intention towards what goes beyond the visible: the signal of the body as prayer, the measurement as ritual.
