the inalienable share, 2018
3D printing, glass, charcoal paper, wooden support · 67 × 27 × 12 cm
From a graphic representation of the heart’s electrical activity — an electrocardiogram — a 3D volume is generated and printed. But the work is only complete in the reflection: the glass doubles the volume, creates its symmetry, its invisible and inseparable part. This complement cannot be touched, grasped, possessed — it exists only in the relationship between the object and its reflection.
The inalienable part: what belongs to us without being able to hold it. What no one can take. Two aspects of the same phenomenon that cannot exist without each other — like the observer and the observed, like the body and its cosmic shadow.
